First JCT Symposium sessions released online

A recordings of presentations from the first session a last month’s JCT Traffic Signals Symposium have been uploaded to the event’s YouTube channel.

All seven sessions at the Symposium in Nottingham were filmed thanks to the support of video sponsors AGD Systems, INRIX, Messagemaker Displays, PTV Group, Simplifai Systems, smartmicro UK and TRL Software.

The sessions will be released every Friday for the next seven weeks.  This week’s sessions are:

  • Distracted Driving – the new Drink Driving? Written by Geoff Collins, Acusensus presented in his absence by moderator Paul Hutton
  • Adaptive control for today’s road users – real life deployments, real life learnings.  James Snowdon – Yunex Traffic
  • The role of Intelligent Transport Systems in enhancing efficiencies and creating a more connected transport network throughout Derbyshire. Andrea Newman – SWARCO

Next week the whole of Pete Dyson’s and Rory Sutherland’s phenomenally popular Transport for Humans session looking at traveller behaviour will be shared online.
