ITS (UK) and its members enjoy a successful Highways UK

ITS (UK) and a large number of its Members have participated in the major Highways UK transport trade show at Birmingham’s NEC this week.

An estimated 8,000 industry professionals attended the two-day event which involved an exhibition containing 230 exhibitors and a range of themed theatres.

ITS (UK)’s stand was opposite the Intelligent Transport Systems theatre, sponsored by Executive Members Mott MacDonald.  ITS (UK)’s Operations Manager Rukshan Soysa worked closely with the organisers to produce a total of ten sessions across the two days, relating to a wide range of ITS themes including highlighting inclusivity within transport, improving driver compliance, data strategies, building climate resilience and more.  The Society’s Enforcement, Smart Environment, Data, Inclusive Mobility Forums all participated and had an integral role within the dedicated theatre.  ITS (UK) was pleased to have such a prominent presence this year which led to very useful networking opportunities and looks forward to working with the Highways UK team again next year.  Read a full list of panel sessions here.
