Chaired by Gemma Tredwell of Arcadis, the Women in ITS Forum provides a focus for women in the industry, aiming to promote ITS as a career.

This meeting is the first co-organised by new Forum Vice Chairs, Rebecca Bollen (pictured left), a traffic signals engineer at 4way Consulting, and Olivia Cairns (right), Operations and Safety Consultant at WSP.

“I am delighted to be appointed the role of joint Vice Chair of the Women in ITS Forum and I look forward to working alongside Gemma and Olivia over this coming year,” commented Rebecca.  “The opportunity will enable me to bring my experience and contacts from 4way Consulting to the Forum.  I am excited to work together with like-minded people to help develop future events, encourage learning from others and to highlight successful women role models within the industry.”

“I’m so pleased to have been appointed as Co-Vice Chair alongside Rebecca from 4way Consulting,” added Olivia. “This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with members of Women in ITS, supporting the current progress and action. I am looking forward to help grow the network in new and interesting directions, providing a forum for all.”

ITS (UK) will also be marking Careers week in the week beginning 7 March, sharing details of members’ “Day in a Life” experiences, material from its Early Careers Forum, chartered status and the ITS MSc course at Loughborough University.

ITS (UK) is an independent membership society of private and public sector transport technology-related organisations plus academia.  To join the network of more than 150 members large and small, please click here.
