Jenoptik revenue grows 30%

The global enforcement and optical technologies business Jenoptik has announced its latest preliminary corporate results which suggest revenue from continuing operations grew by more than 30% to around €980 million (£867 million).

That’s up from €750.7 million the year before.

Jenoptik, which is the leading average speed enforcement provider in the UK, says organic growth was around 11%, primarily due to sustained strong demand in the Advanced Photonic Solutions division. The companies acquired in 2021, BG Medical and the SwissOptic Group, performed better than expected and contributed around €160 million.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation improved at a faster rate than revenue to around €184 million, compared to €125.2 million, excluding one-off effect), due to an improved product mix and economies of scale. The corresponding EBITDA margin grew to around 18.8%, compared to 16.7% in the prior year.

The Company says key balance sheet and financial indicators remain at a very solid level.
