Leeds delays clean air zone implementation

Leeds City Council is to delay the implementation of its Clean Air Zone until next January at the earliest.

The city was to be one of the first to bring in charges for certain vehicles to enter the city but it’s holding off during the Coronavirus crisis.

It says it’ll continue to accept applications for grants to help people switch to cleaner vehicles, but that all interest-free CAZ loan repayments have been suspended.
