More LTC consultation days announced

National Highways has announced it’ll be holding four drop-in community events over the next few weeks where people living near the proposed Lower Thames Crossing can find out the latest project updates and ask questions.

Planners will be providing information on proposed new or improved paths for walkers, cyclists and horse riders, as well as giving updates on how they are working with local schools and businesses to create opportunities for new jobs and skills.

In November National Highways announced an intention to amend plans near the river to support the Thames Freeport at Thurrock Council’s request. It is now drawing up plans for a consultation on this and a number of other local refinements, which follow on from a Community Impacts Consultation last summer.

National Highways says it is in the process of engaging with all our host local authorities on the details of this consultation and will publish more details soon.
