National Highways selects Kainos-Arup as Data Science Partner for Digital Lab

National Highways, the UK government company responsible for the strategic road network, has announced its selection of Kainos-Arup as a Data Science Partner for its Digital Lab.

Under the contract, Kainos and Arup have formed a unique partnership bringing together Kainos’ national scale end-to-end digital expertise with Arup’s deep transport domain and advanced data analytics capabilities.

The collaboration will provide digital and data expertise to the Digital Lab to support the enterprise deployment of existing and new agile data science products. This will include provision of skills across data engineering and analysis, machine learning and data science, Azure cloud architecture, as well as data ethics.

The data science products delivered will address a wide range of challenges across the enterprise product portfolio.

The contract marks a significant milestone in National Highways’ commitment to enhancing its digital, data, and technology capabilities in support of its £24.2 billion investment in the strategic road network between 2020 and 2025. The investment is aimed at allowing its colleagues to deliver efficiently and foster innovation to ensure safer, smoother, and more reliable journeys for its customers.
