North Somerset Council starts search for contractors for civils and surface treatment works

North Somerset Council is on the look out for contractors to cover civils works and surface treatments as well as structures as part of its Dynamic Procurement System (DPS)

A DPS operates in an open market and interested contractors can apply to join at any time during its life span. This allows the council, as the Contracting Authority, to continually expand its network of suppliers, contributing to the local economy and grow skills in North Somerset area.
Three lots are included on this dynamic purchasing system and interested parties join one, two or all three of them.

The work includes:

Highway Drainage
Smaller Improvement Schemes
Road Safety Schemes
Active Travel Schemes
Flood Protection
Potential Civils works to support street lighting contracts

Surface treatments:
Micro Asphalt
Slurry Sealing
Preservation Treatments
In-situ recycling
High Friction Surfacing
Crack Sealing/ Joint infill

Improvement projects to bridges, wall and other highway structures

Once contractors have passed the initial checks in the Stage 1 , the business is one step closer to being open to an array of collaborative working opportunities with the council.

The regions of supply includes: Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire

The estimated value of all of the work is: £12,000,000.00.
