Protestors plan to block major roads on 4 July over fuel prices

Plans are circulating on social media to recruit people to block roads on 4 July over the continuing rising cost of fuel.

A number of motorways and A roads appear to be targetted, including the two Severn Bridges from England into South Wales.

Reports say plans to blockade roads, which also include the M62, M54, M6 and A12 have been shared thousands of times.

The Facebook Group Fuel Price Stand Against Tax has 43,000 members and has set up a petition to “Call for the government to reduce to tax burden by a minimum of 30% to bring fuel prices down to pre Ukraine/Russian war levels.”

On its Facebook page, members of the group talk about rolling road blocks and also reference the 4 July protests.
