Yunex Traffic has successfully completed the commissioning of a high-capacity electric vehicle charging solution for Highways Stops Retail Limited (HSRL), marking a significant step in HSRL’s strategic investment in electric vehicle charging infrastructure (EVCI). Now in operation, Yunex Traffic’s field-based service engineers have taken responsibility for the ongoing servicing and maintenance of the charging solution.
HSRL, which owns and operates 16 service stations across the South East of England, selected its Astwick site, located on the northbound carriageway of the A1 trunk road near Hitchin, as its first forecourt to provide customers with en-route EV charging facilities based on a distributed power management system.
The solution features a Kempower distributed power system comprising two triple power cabinets, each capable of delivering up to 400 kW, with four dual satellite units providing simultaneous charging across eight bays, each equipped with contactless payment functionality.
