A road in West Wales has been reopened several months after it was closed following a landslide after repairs have been completed.
The road near Machynlleth was deemed unsafe after a landslide hit the area in December 2024 after Storm Darragh left it blocked.
The County Times notes that after the wind and rain caused a landslide that first closed the road, the road had to remain closed while investigations were carried out on unstable ground in the area.
Now Traffic Wales has posted “The A487 at Rhiw Gwgan is now fully re-opened. The damage caused following a landslip has been fixed and the traffic lights removed. Thank you for your patience.”
