Colas wins place on Black Country Framework

Colas has successfully secured a place on the Black Country Framework Contract for Minor Construction Works.

 Colas is one of seven contractors appointed to Lot 2 (Highway and related Civils works from £100,001 to £500,000), and was one of four contractors awarded a place on Lot 3 (Highway and related Civils works £500,001+).

Beginning this month and running for three years with an option to be extended by one year, Colas will act as principal contractor for the provision of highways civil engineering & construction works; typically, minor highway improvements schemes.

Through call-off contracts, the Framework is a ready-made procurement route for public sector clients and will bring a host of benefits including efficiencies in the procurement process and best value for taxpayers.

Framework partners include lead authority Sandwell Council, Dudley Council, Walsall Council, City of Wolverhampton Council, Wolverhampton Homes, Birmingham City Council and Transport for West Midlands.
