DELTABLOC has completed its first temporary barrier projects in China, with its SB 90 concrete barrier installed on two expressways.
The new temporary barrier, developed specifically for the Chinese market, is designed to meet the country’s containment level requirements.
More than 400 metres of the barrier have been installed on each side of the central reserve on the Lewen Expressway, while a further 270 metres have been installed on the Wuliang Expressway to protect a temporary work zone.
The development of the SB 90 included crash tests carried out in China to demonstrate the barrier’s performance against local requirements.
DELTABLOC said the projects mark an important first step in the Chinese market, combining local requirements with its expertise in temporary road safety systems.
