ERTICO – ITS Europe is offering countries and cities more time to apply to Host the next ITS European or World Congress in the EMEA Region.

“Are you a smart city and want to showcase your mobility activities to a broader public in Europe and beyond?”, it asks. ERTICO – ITS Europe has opened the Call for Tender to Host the 2025-2026 ITS European Congresses or the 2027 ITS World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems & Services in the EMEA region.

“Following the request of several cities, we have decided to extend the deadline for the Expression of Interest by one week. The new deadline is 27th of June,” says Lisa Boch-Andersen, Director of Communication, Congresses and Events at ERTICO – ITS Europe. “As a Host City, you join the extended ITS family of cities worldwide. Every Host city has felt the long-term positive economic impact on their region’s business and the benefits of being recognised as a key player in the smart mobility landscape.”

The application to host an ITS Congress involves a two-stage selection process:

Evaluation of an Expression of Interest with confirmation of minimum requirements.
Evaluation of the Full Bid Document.

The Expression of Interest document holds the basic requirements to host an ITS Congress and the minimum requirements (checklist) should be filled out and sent back to ERTICO. Cities or similar Public Authorities can apply by submitting the Expressions of Interest and it should be the same entity which will submit the full bid application in the second stage.

To be considered for the second stage of the selection process, submit the Expression of Interest with the completed Checklist by Monday 27 June 2022 to Mrs Delphine Soubies: d.soubies@mail.ertico.com.

Once completed, you will receive a confirmation receipt. Retained candidates will receive the official Call for Tender by mid-July 2022 and will have until mid-November 2022 to send the full bid document to ERTICO. Those not retained will be informed by mid-July.
