More exhibition options on offer at new JCT Traffic Signals Symposium location

Exhibitors joining the popular JCT Traffic Signals Symposium in September have more choices on how they show off their products thanks to the new, bigger location at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

More than 20 exhibitors are currently signed up for the event, including a welcome to Kapsch, who make their debut showing off their range of intelligent transport systems products.

“Moving the Symposium and Exhibition to Leeds has given us a significant opportunity to improve the experience for both Exhibitors and Delegates,” explained organiser John Nightingale, who is a Director at JCT Consultancy. “At almost 900 square metres, the beautiful Royal Armouries Hall has plenty of space to accommodate exhibitors large or small.”

Mr Nightingale adds that, thanks to the larger location, JCT is able to offer new ways to make it easier to take part.  “We have also taken the opportunity to include options for Exhibition Shells which are convenient for exhibitors wanting a simple set up particularly suited to overseas exhibitors. The small shells are priced at modest entry level fee and are attracting new companies”

Kapsch joins returning exhibitors AGD Systems, ARTSM, Austar Lighting Shanghai, CT Technology, FLIR Systems, ITS UK, NAL, NOW Wireless, PTV, RTEM, Sensys Networks, Simplifai Systems, Smartmicro UK, SRL, Starling Technologies, SWARCO, Telent Technology Services, Traffic Group Signals, TRL Software, TRP, Vivacity Labs, Westcotec and Yunex Traffic in the event.

Yunex are sponsoring an improved Gala Dinner to take place at the Queens Hotel which Mr Nightingale says will “give a good excuse to dress up, befitting the grander surroundings of the new location,” while Telent are sponsoring the Tuesday evening social, as the Symposium takes over the nearby Adelphi pub for the night.  SWARCO again sponsor the pre-Gala Dinner drinks, and a number of other companies are signing up to cover the bar tab each night.

This year’s JCT Traffic Signals Symposium on 24 and 25 September features two days of academic presentations alongside the exhibition and the two evening networking events.  It is preceded on 23 September by the MOVA Users Group and a combined booking can be made for both events.

“Preparations for moving the Symposium to Leeds this year are going well,” Mr Nightingale added. “The Symposium Learned Papers Programme is now full and exhibition stands are selling well. Delegate bookings are coming in but there is still an opportunity to participate in the speaking programme. The MOVA Users Group will run contiguous to the Symposium and there are still speaking slots available for MOVA practitioners to share their projects. To submit a proposal simply email JCT with a working title and a one paragraph synopsis and we will forward your proposal to the Group for consideration. The MOVA Users Group is free to attend and regularly attracts a 100+ audience of MOVA practitioners.”

You can watch last September’s Symposium from Nottingham Trent University here.

Sign up to attend or exhibit at this year’s event through the Symposium website, which also features options to book hotel rooms alongside the main event.
