Delegates heading to Lincoln for this month’s popular JCT Traffic Signals Symposium can now download the official event magazine, providing a definitive guide to three days of traffic signals learning, discussion and networking.

The 31st Symposium returns to its original home of Lincoln this year with a refreshed format designed to take the event back to its roots as a learned meeting of traffic signals professionals. The exhibition has been paused for 2026, with the emphasis instead on longer, more detailed technical papers and more time for questions and discussion among some of the industry’s leading experts.

The magazine contains the complete itinerary for what organisers describe as a three-day festival of traffic signals, beginning with the MOVA Users Group on Tuesday 15 September before the main Symposium at the University of Lincoln on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September.

It includes the full programmes for both the MOVA Users Group and Symposium, as well as details of networking opportunities and practical information for delegates, including advice on travelling to Lincoln and the best parking options.

“Traffic signals remain one of the most important tools available to local authorities seeking to make tangible improvements to the operation of their networks,” explained JCT Director John Nightingale.  “As well as managing congestion and improving journey reliability, intelligent signal strategies can be used to prioritise buses, support walking and cycling and help authorities influence how people choose to travel.  That makes the opportunity to share detailed technical knowledge particularly valuable, with this year’s Symposium featuring experts from local authorities, suppliers, National Government, academia and ITS UK.”

The MOVA Users Group remains free to attend thanks to support from Chris Kennett Consulting, PTV Group, TRL, SWARCO and Telent.
