New parking API “to transform journeys”

Parking technology company AppyWay is launching a new interface for developers to help drivers get what it calls “a parking sixth sense”.

It’s mapped parking restrictions for more than 450 towns and cities in the UK to create what it says is the UK’s largest, standardised kerbside restriction dataset showing if it’s legal to park, how much it might cost and the maximum stay.

AppyWay says fleets can use the API directly deliver benefits for their own operations while software developers can use it to add value across their product offerings.

It adds that the high-definition coverage aggregates, collects and refreshes kerbside data, combining with it an advanced cost calculator engine so that developers can build tailored solutions to meet a wide variety of use cases.
