TomTom and Verizon expand deal

Dutch navigation and location company TomTom has expanded its deal with American mobile network Verizon to integrate APIs and SDKs into its location services.

It says it’ll make it easier for developers to build and integrate the platform. It expands the current deal where TomTom offers location services to enhance Verizon’s location-based data, nav and intelligence solutions.

Last year the companies announced a project to use Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband and TomTom HD maps to help make intersections safer for emergency vehicles.
