WEF calls for a rebuild of trust in driverless vehicles

Ahead of its annual meeting in Davos, the World Economic Forum has issued a report calling for a rebuild of trust in driverless technology.

It says this trust includes public acceptance and trust between public and private sectors.

It adds that to realise the safety benefits that the technology promises, strong global collaboration is necessary.

In the report, it asked five industry and public sector leaders about the role of trust and collaboration in advancing AV technology and deployments.
