Highways and transport solutions provider Clearview Intelligence will lead the discussion on integrating transport data to provide a more efficient network at the Transport Technology Forum annual conference next week.
The company, which delivers sustainability solutions, connectivity, and smart and digital infrastructure technology to local authorities and national governments, is sponsoring the two-day conference which involves more than 200 delegates, including representatives from more than 60 local councils and combined authorities.
Clearview’s Head of Business Development in England and Wales, Ralph Bates, will give a presentation which will start with a call to change mindsets from ‘what is’ to ‘what if’, before delving into a small series of thoughts around what can be achieved with integrated data. His presentation will cover topics around how the use of data integration adds context to decision making to support various initiatives such as saving travel time, saving energy and saving lives.
Clearview’s solutions include its environmentally-friendly SolarLite solar-powered LED road studs for emission-free illuminated delineation, and wired Intelligent Road Studs for intersection safety, through to its Connex smart mobility solutions and cutting-edge Insight data management platform.
“I’m delighted to be speaking at such an important, high-profile event,” Mr Bates said. “The TTF is brilliant at getting experts across the sector together to learn how they can make a difference, and I’m excited to lead the discussion on pulling disparate solutions into an integrated, efficiency delivering ecosystem. It would be easy to use this event as a chance to just promote our products and services, but that misses the point of the what the conference is trying to achieve, so I will be there sharing insights based on Clearview’s 50 years delivering solutions for the sector based on what the industry wants and needs.”
The Conference, from 6-8 May at the Leonardo Hotel, Hinckley Island brings together national government, local authorities, suppliers and academia to discuss government policy and showcase best practice and innovation in the use of technology in transport. So far more than 100 public sector delegates have registered.
As well as Clearview Intelligence, the event is supported by opening networking session sponsor Yunex Traffic and AECOM which sponsors a special high-level roundtable. Other exhibitors are (in alphabetical order): Aimsun, AppyWay, Brightly Software, Castle Surveys, COEVAL, Indra Systems, Messagemaker Displays, NAL, Rennicks, RTEM, smartmicro, SRL Traffic Systems, Starling Technologies, SWARCO, TagMaster UK, Teledyne FLIR, Telraam, Teragence, TRL, Vaisala, Vianova, VivaCity and Westcotec.
The event will hear from a range of experts from the Department for Transport, Innovate UK, Local Authorities and other influential speakers to discuss challenges facing the sector, coming funding opportunities, wider transport policy and ongoing government projects. The draft agenda also includes detailed updates from the TTF’s Working Groups, while the supply chain will share insights into how technology solutions can help transform and solve future transport issues.
