TRL and Department for Transport to host transport innovation showcase in London

TRL in collaboration with the Department for Transport, is hosting an exclusive in-person event that will spotlight the most innovative research and transformative projects shaping the future of UK transport. The showcase will take place on Thursday 10th July 2025, in London.

This special event promises a dynamic exchange of ideas, bringing together leading voices from government, academia, and the transport industry to address the sector’s most urgent challenges and to unveil forward-thinking solutions.

Attendees will gain first-hand insights from both the TRL and DfT teams on a range of pioneering projects, including: breaking down barriers to AI adoption in transport, promoting equality in the driving test, updates on pavement and pothole resilience initiatives, insights into the Well Managed Highways Code of Practice and an in-depth look at the Cross Modal Safety Project and its adoption of the Safe Systems approach.

The event will conclude with an informal networking lunch, offering delegates a unique opportunity to connect with peers, policymakers, researchers, and industry professionals.

It takes place at the etc venue within County Hall on the South Bank from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
