Clearview Intelligence supports better driving in Hull

Highways and Transport Solutions provider Clearview Intelligence is sponsoring five people in the Hull area to go on an advanced driver course in order to help people make the roads safer.

People who live in the HU1 to HU9 postcodes are being given the chance to win one of five Clearview-funded places on an IAM RoadSmart Advanced Driver Course.

Clearview has delivered the Hull ‘Stoneferry Corridor’ project, designed to reduce accidents, collisions and congestion whilst improving air quality, journey times and ultimately driver safety through a range of the company’s safety product including connected road studs which make cycling in the city safer.

The Stoneferry Corridor is a primary route originating north of Hull, with strategic connections to the Port of Hull, and the city’s central and eastern areas. It is dominated by industry, HGV activity and businesses, with pockets of residential, retail, and educational buildings.

Further aims of the Project included sustaining economic growth and providing  better facilities for pedestrians and cyclists with the goal of reducing congestion by 50%, cut down collisions by at least 40% and improve air quality for residents and businesses in the area within the next 15 years.

A spokesperson for Hull and East Riding Advanced Motorists said: ‘Our advanced driver course will give you additional on-road knowledge and skills above and beyond what is taught when you learn to drive. We want you to get more enjoyment out of driving, grow friendships and create memorable experiences.’

Now motorists who live in the area can benefit further by entering the competition which aims to improve driving skills, raise driving safety awareness and help reduce the number of road collisions.
